Like most humour, the laugh is at the expense of anothers misfortune. Most cultures refrain from mocking the Gods, but not the Japanese. They find great delight in finding the funny side of any individuals situation. The thunder God Raiden is no exception, in fact he’s the brunt of many jokes. He was a Hero Villian character, loved for creating the storm that prevented the Mongol invasion, at the same time despised for creating the storms that blight city and villages.

Our medium sized figure depicts Raiden peering upwards, with a ‘what the hell was that look’ on his face, his drum just prior having dropped from the heavens bonking him on the head.
